Artist's Comments
This is the dragon from Norse Mythology that knaws on the roots of Yggdrasil, the World Tree.
Nidhoggr dwells in Niflheim, which is the far northern region of icy fogs and mists, on the lowest level of the Universe. This is where the dead wander before they reach Hel. According to Norse Mythology, Nidhoggr strippes the flesh off of the dead so that they can pass into the spirit world.... This is where I depicted Nidhoggr - In the Misty Mountians of Niflheim. Phew! Now that was a mouthful!! lol.. I'm quite pleased with this pic...Airbrushed in Photoshop... Comments are welcome  |
